£ p/h (inc. London Waiting) - 25 hours p/w during term time. 30 hours p/w during funded holiday play schemes
The post holder will be responsible for managing a small team of Playworkers through the term-time & Holiday Periods as & when required. Post holder will need to liaise with and have regular contact with children, families, play providers and other agencies; to co-ordinate after-school services to support all children in accessing mainstream play provision. An emphasis within this post will be on managing the staff team.
Applicants should have Level 3 in Playwork and have experience of running a team on an adventure playground, inclusive play, building partnerships, project planning and delivery, and staff management.
Term time hours: Tuesday to Friday: 3.30pm-7pm
Plus Saturdays: 12pm-4pm
Funded Holiday play schemes: 11am-6pm
The whole team will be expected to maintain the site – cleaning duties will be rotation basis
As the posts involve working with children they are exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 and are covered by the Children’s Act 1999.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake DBS (CRB) checks for an Enhanced Criminal Record Certificate. SWAPA is an equal opportunities employer
